What are escape rooms? What is an escape game and how do you play it?
Escape games are a new form of interactive entertainment. They bring epic stories to life in a one-of-a-kind experience. Participants enter our immersive world where they race the clock by finding clues and solving puzzles in order to successfully complete the mission and escape the room in an hour or less.
What are your hours?
Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11 am – 10 pm; Saturdays and Sundays, 3 pm -10 pm; and other times by appointment.
Where are you located?
At the Coyote Music Den in the Community Square, 284 Irvin Garrish Highway in Ocracoke, the gray building with a brick chimney at the back of the parking lot in between The Fudge Shop and Graceful Bakery.
Where can I park? Do you have parking?
Parking spaces are limited at the Community Square shops. We recommend you that you walk, bike, tram or taxi (tips only Javier 588-0088) or park at the National Park Service (NPS) Parking Lot by the water tower and Swan Quarter/Cedar Island ferry terminal.
Are you really going to lock us in?
Yes and no. Once you have entered the Escape Room, the door you entered through will remain closed. You can leave the room at any point for any reason during the game; however, re-entering is not permitted and no refunds will be granted.
Is it safe?
It is completely safe to play. The room is not dangerous and there’s an exit available for you at all times.
Is it scary? Is this like a haunted house or what?
It is not a spook house. Nothing is going to pop out because our intent is not to scare you. Think the game “Clue” not the horror movie “Saw.”
Do I need any special skills or knowledge?
Our escape room can be solved using clues found within the room. You will be required to use deductive reasoning and teamwork to progress through each scenario.
What should I bring?
You do not need to bring anything other than yourself.
What shouldn’t I bring?
Please don’t bring your pet. We ask that no food or drink is taken into the game room. No alcohol is allowed in the room. If any team member is under the influence or alcohol or drugs, they will be turned away at the door or ejected from the game and no refund will be given. No cell phones, purses, bags or backpacks will be allowed in the room so best to leave them at home or in the car. No firearms please. If you regularly open carry, please leave your weapon in your car during the game. The use of electronic devices or any outside tools are strictly prohibited.

Escape rooms are an incredible experience for everyone! We recommend for kids to be over the age of 10.
Do you accept walk-ins?
No. We recommend e-mailing or calling us if your desired booking time is in less than 48 hours. We do allow for same-day reservations if there is availability.
How do I make a reservation and book the Escape Room?

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, we strongly recommend advance bookings through the Book Escape button on our web site. Bookings made less than 48 hours in advance need to be made via phone or email.
How much does it cost?
The price is $28 per person. The entire room can be booked for $200 and you may bring two additional people for free. We offer an additional discounted private booking for groups with children under 13 ($180 for the room). These options are available on our booking page. There is a booking fee of 1.06%
How do I pay?
All games are paid online at the time of booking. We accept all major credit and debit cards.
Do I need to purchase all the tickets for my time slot?
No. You can purchase one or all of the tickets.
Will I be playing with other participants?
If you do not purchase all 8 tickets for your time slot, or book a private room, you may be teamed with other people.
Can our group play alone? How do I book an entire room?
To reserve an entire session for your group, you need to purchase all eight tickets at once or reserve a private booking for your desired time slot. Discounted private room options are available on our booking page. Please contact us if there is no session time with 8 available tickets near your desired time and we will try to create a special session time for you.
How many people do we need to play? Is there a minimum?
We recommend a group size between 4 and 8 for the best experience and chance at success. The minimum number of participants for the game to run is 4 (unless your booking is private).
Is there an age restriction? What ages can play?
We welcome players of all ages. Our room is designed for players that are 10 and older, but younger players can still enjoy the game and have fun. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. And if your party has children under the age of 13, you must book a private room. Infants and toddlers will not be allowed in the room unless it is a private booking. All bookings require at least one responsible adult 18 years or older who consents to our Terms and Conditions.
Is there a waiver to sign?
No, but a responsible adult must agree to our Terms and Conditions before the purchase.
How long is each game? How long will it take?
Each game is designed for one hour of fun!Plan to spend 15 minutes prior to each game preparing and briefing for your mission, and 15 minutes after each game to debrief and take photos.
When do I need to arrive? Do we have a grace period?
Participants need to arrive 15 minutes prior to their reserved time in order to prepare. Game masters will start the experience at its scheduled time. Being late might cause you to have less than 60 minutes to play or be turned away without a refund.
What if I’m running late? What happens if I arrive late?
If you have a private booking, please call or email us to let us know you’re running late and we’ll let you know if this will affect your playing time. If your booking is not private, the door to the room will close exactly at the time you signed up for. You will not be permitted into the room if you are late. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to make sure you are there before the room is locked.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
We understand that plans change, so reservations can be canceled. Give us a call or email us to cancel your booking. Games booked in advance and cancelled more than 48 hours ahead of time will be 100% refunded. Cancellations between 24 and 48 hours in advance will receive a 50% refund. Those cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will receive no refund. During a weather event that restricts access to the island or requires mandatory evacuation, all parties will be rescheduled or refunded at their request. NO-SHOWS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
Are your games wheelchair accessible?
No. The building is accessible only by stairs (4).
Can I celebrate my birthday here? Can I arrange a special event or party?
